The Void for iOS — v2.1.0
This page answers common questions about using The Void. If you can't find what you're looking for, email us and we'll help.
The Void uses biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) to keep your account secure. On first launch, we generate a unique account for you and link it to the email you provide.
Once you're signed in, you can post text and photos, reply to others, and explore the feed.
Your account is tied to your email address. If you lose access to your device, you can restore your account on a new device by signing in with your email:
If you did not link an email when you created your account, or if you no longer have access to that email, your account cannot be recovered. Contact us and we'll help where we can.
You can delete your account directly from the app:
Account deletion is permanent. All your posts, photos, comments, bookmarks, and profile data are removed within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
If you see a post, photo, or comment that violates our community guidelines:
We review all reports and take action on content and accounts that violate our guidelines, including hiding content, removal, and account suspension where appropriate.
To enable or disable notifications:
The Void does not require a name, phone number, or public profile. Photos are moderated before they appear in the feed. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
For full details on what we collect and why, read our Privacy Policy.
For the rules that govern what you can post, read our Terms of Service.
